A Monk's Tale is Konsequential Studios' first comic book production. This action adventure comic surrounds the journeys of three young monks in ancient China. The three monks leave their humble monastery for the first time and encounter life outside isn't what they expected.

Issue # 1 has 27 pages of art and story, a sketch page for each of the creators, pre-production thumbnails, and a "community section", which contains other independent projects, retailers, associations, and artists.

This three issue mini-series will be released and distributed strictly as an independent production until the entire run is completed. Each issue has a limited print run, and upon completion of the mini-series a mainstream distributor will be sought after. Our second issue is tentatively slated for winter 2002/ early 2003, the third in spring 2003, and the conclusion by summer 2003. So, if you have any comments or suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact us! We still need a letters page! Hint! Hint!

Check out the two galleries, the Sequential Gallery has 6 actual pages from issue #1, complete with dialogue and sepia tone. This will give you a good sample of the what A Monk's Tale is about. Just click on the thumbnails for larger versions of the page.

In the Pencil/Shade Gallery, we have 3 different pages side by side so you can compare the pencilled version with the shaded version. There is no dialogue is any of these pages. All of the art was hand drawn, there's no computer coloring or effects, with the exception of dialogue...and there's a couple of pages that we slightly changed the layout. Anyways, check them out and let us know what you think!
